Group composition varies trip to trip. Most Charkadam trips see a mix of solo travellers and small friend groups. Message us on WhatsApp before booking and we'll tell you this specific trip's current group makeup.
Every trip has a trip leader with you throughout, and we take group safety seriously. If you have specific questions — about who else is booked, or anything else — reach out on WhatsApp before you book. We'd rather you ask than assume.
GENERAL GUIDANCE
General safety practices for solo travel in India
Worth following on any group trip in India, not specific to Charkadam:
Share your itinerary and your trip leader's contact with someone at home before you go.
Keep a digital copy of your ID and travel documents.
Stay with the group in unfamiliar towns, especially after dark.
Save your trip leader's number and emergency contacts before you lose network in remote areas.
When in doubt about local customs or safety norms, ask your trip leader.
